Bregal Investments is an international private equity firm providing a platform for five direct investment teams and a fund-of-funds team across the US and Europe. With distinct investment strategies, all our teams and their related funds focus on investing in mid-market companies in a variety of sectors and geographies, either through a variety of majority control equity, minority equity, or credit investments. Collectively, this represents more than €18 billion of assets under management.

Our heritage
Bregal Investments was formed in 2002 and is part of COFRA Holding, a privately held group of companies headquartered in Switzerland. COFRA also includes a global fashion retail business (C&A), a real estate business (Redevco), a solar energy business (Sunrock) and an asset management platform (Anthos Fund & Asset Management).
Our firm started as a private equity fund-of-funds business, targeting fund investments in mid-market private equity funds. During the past decade, we have expanded our business significantly by establishing several direct investment funds. Today we employ more than 250 people based in the US, UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Jersey, and Luxembourg.
