medavis Group acquires medDream, expanding the Group’s portfolio with an innovative medical viewer

We are pleased to announce that the medavis Group (“medavis” or “Group”), a portfolio company of funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital (“BU”) has acquired medDream.

medDream is a leading provider of imaging software, specifically Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) viewers for radiologists and other medical professionals.

The acquisition of medDream is a strategic step to strengthen the Group's portfolio with a universal medical zero-footprint viewer and further expand into international markets. The innovative medDream viewer plays a key role in this strategy, since it can be used universally as a high-performance enterprise viewer in various medical specialties. At the same time, it will become a key component of the medavis referral and patient portal, thus supporting the entire patient pathway.

The medavis Group comprises of medavis GmbH, Digithurst GmbH, epiNet GmbH, and InformMe GmbH. medavis has been developing customized, modular, and scalable software for hospital chains, radiology networks, imaging centers, and clinics for over 25 years and offers radiologists, referring physicians, and patients with solutions for cross-site networking.
